Despite a challenging national economic climate, the employment rate for recent graduates of l’École supérieure du bois remains satisfactory, with several indicators exceeding the national average reported in the CGE survey.

An employment rate above the national average

The data show rapid and effective entry into the workforce. In fact, four months after graduation, 80% of our graduates are employed, compared to 62.8% for all engineering graduates from CGE member schools.

Diversity of Positions

Thanks to their expertise in the field of timber and their ability to deliver projects successfully, our engineers excel across a variety of sectors. Nearly half have joined construction and civil engineering firms, whilst others have joined companies involved in production, distribution or forestry.

These results demonstrate the École supérieure du bois’s commitment to training skilled and versatile professionals who are ready to take on the challenges of the timber industry.

Good employment conditions

Furthermore, the median gross annual salary stands at €38,213, an increase of €1,100 compared with 2024. Although this is below the CGE average, this rise confirms the growing recognition of the specific skills acquired at l’École supérieure du bois.

A large majority of the 2025 graduates currently in employment (87.5 per cent) have secured permanent contracts, a strong indication of the stability of their transition into the workforce and the confidence employers have in their potential. This rate illustrates the market’s recognition of the skills and expertise developed throughout their time at the school.
